First things first:

1. Thanks to Doug Johnson for leading the New Year’s Day ride. Due to my shoulder surgery, I was not able to ride last week.
Â
2. Fellow club member and our webmaster, Ken Cimetta is recuperating in the hospital from open heart surgery on Friday. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him riding with us again very soon.

3. My shoulder is healed enough to allow me to ride this weekend, just don’t tell my doctor.

What: Club Ride to Stan’s Idle Hour restaurant in Goodland, Florida. It’s near Marco Island if that helps you out. http://www.stansidlehour.net/Index.html

Why: I am always looking for that usual place to stop at. This seems to be one of those. With the Dolphins out of the Superbowl race, let’s ride!

When: Meet at Rick Case Honda Powerhouse on January 11, Sunday morning at 9:45 am, (you get to sleep in a little). We will leave at 10:00 am sharp heading down US 27 to Krome Ave. We will make a short stop at the gas station on the corner of Hwy 41 and Krome Ave around 10:40 am and leave from there no later then 11:00 am. The return route will probably be via Alligator Alley, so bring your Sun-Pass.

I will have raffle tickets for sale for chances to win a ride in the Goodyear Blimp and many other prizes. All money raised goes to the Ride for Kids and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Our club was number one last year for donations and attendance. Please check out our local web page for our upcoming ride; www.sfrideforkids.org
