Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Â
Hopefully this will find you enjoying the holiday season.
Â
Our annual Key West Run on New Year’s Day is rapidly approaching. Are you ready?
Â
This year Doug Johnson will be leading the ride (Thanks Doug).
Â
Those that live on the north side of town will meet January 1, 2009, at 6:45 a.m. in front of the Cracker Barrel Rest just east of I-75 and South of Sheridan Street. Kickstands up at 7:00 a.m. sharp. Please arrive with a full tank of gas and bring your Sun-Pass. The first stop will be at the Shell Gas Station in Florida City around 8:00 a.m.
Â
Those that live south can meet the club at the first stop around 8;00 a.m., see above. The cub will pull in, gas up, and continue on south. Not sure yet whether we will take Card Sound or A1A all the way down. If someone has been through this area recently, please let me know about the construction north of Key Largo. If you live south and plan on meeting us, try to arrive no later then 7:45 a.m. and top your gas tank off.
Â
We normally arrive in Key West just in time for lunch. A nice stroll down Duval Street afterwards and soon it is time to start heading back north. In the past we have dined anywhere from Margarittaville, Mystic Pizza, Hog’s Breath, and many more.
Â
We start our journey northbound no later then 3:00 p.m. and return to Weston around 7:30p.m.
Â
A word of advise:Â don’t party too hard on New Year’s Eve (also referred to as Amateur Night).Â
